KAZAK: the expedition I KAZAK: kazak I KAZAK: wunderbaum

KAZAK will be our main project the next three years. In this project we will work with one basis material through different stats and from different perspectives to make three different performances. The performances will be KAZAK: the expedition with premiere at Teaterhuset Avant Garden in Trondheim, Norway October 21 2011, KAZAK: kazak with its premiere in the Autumn 2012 and KAZAK: wunderbaum with its premiere in the Autumn 2013.

The project is co-produced in its entirety by BIT Teatergarasjen in Bergen, Norway and Teaterhuset Avant Garden in Trondheim, Norway.

Kazak means: robber,one that disturbes the peace and adventurer. A kazak was one that didn`t accept the life faith had given him, and choose to live his life as an adventurer instead. The term was also used for groupings that detached themselves from their king and kinsmen. The meaning of the word kazak, can also be one who doesn`t have any possessions or belongings.

NONcompany on an expedition through the taiga June 13 to July 10

NONcompany starts the project KAZAK with a trip through the taiga forest, from Eastern Norway in the West to Vladivostok in the Russian Federation in East. Along the way we will collect material, do research and find inspiration for three new performances.
